What is Colon?

Colon or Large Intestine is a digestion organ used as a temporary storage for ex food from small intestine. This ex food will become feces then.

Normally, the food stays in our digestion system for about 14 hours, started from the mouth (when you eat), ended to disposal (anus). It depends on the consumption of good food, fiber and water, drugs (antibiotics) usage and level of depression. If you eat much junk food, less water and fiber, too much antibiotics or you are in deep depression, then the transit time for the food in your digestion system will take longer time. If you do not ‘pup’ for a day (24 hours long), it means you hold up 4 portions of your food: Your breakfast, lunch, dinner and your next morning breakfast. Can you imagine how many portions of food you can hold in your digestion system if you do not ‘pup’ fot 2 days? 3 days? This is called constipation!

Want to know more? Some of the food will stay longer in your colon even though you pup every day. It is also one of the reasons that most of your diet program failed.
